Rooftop Turf

Rooftop and balcony turf. Lightweight and drainage-first.

Roof decks, condo balconies, and high-rise patios have weight limits and drainage they can't lose. We install lightweight rooftop turf systems that sit on a low-profile drainage tile, weigh under 2 lbs/sq ft installed, and respect existing roof drains. HOA-friendly install with non-permanent adhesion options.

What do homeowners ask about Rooftop Turf?

Will turf void my roof warranty?

We install non-penetrating systems on warrantied roofs — perimeter-weighted or removable-adhesive only. Always confirm with your roofer or property manager before install. We can supply written specs for the property file.

How much does the system weigh?

A typical rooftop turf install lands at 1.5–2 lbs/sq ft. That includes the turf, drainage tile, and infill. Roof decks rated for furniture and people typically have far more capacity than this.

Will it block roof drains?

No. We mark every drain location before install, cut and frame around them, and confirm flow with a hose test before we leave.

Homeowners who hired us for this

Got quotes from three turf companies. Green Pro Turf was the only one who measured drainage on our slope and explained why the base spec mattered. Two summers in, no seam pull, no settling. Looks the same as install day.

Melissa R. Backyard Turf · Carlsbad

Two big dogs killed our lawn over and over. Switched to pet turf — drainage is real, the zeolite infill keeps the smell down, and we just hose it off weekly. Should have done this five years ago.

David K. Pet Turf · El Cajon

They built a 350 sq ft green with two cups and a fringe ring. Speed is right around stimp 10. My short game has actually improved. Crew was on time every day, cleanup was perfect.
