The base is deeper, the drainage layer is engineered for urine flow, the infill is antimicrobial, and the seams are glued tighter so dogs can't lift them. What do homeowners ask about Pet Turf?

Will pet turf smell after a few months?

Not if it's installed right. Smell comes from urine pooling under the turf with nowhere to drain. Our base lets urine pass straight through to the sub-base, and zeolite infill chemically binds ammonia. Most clients rinse the turf monthly with a hose. Heavy-use yards get a quarterly enzyme treatment.

Can dogs dig through pet turf?

Determined diggers can lift any turf — natural or artificial. We mitigate this with glued seams (no staples-only edges), bender board around the perimeter, and optional gopher mesh under the base. We have not had a dog dig through a properly installed seam.

Is pet turf safe for puppies?

Yes. The turf, infill, and adhesive we use are all non-toxic and lead-free. Zeolite infill is the same mineral used in cat litter. We won't install anything we wouldn't put in our own homes.

How do I clean pet turf?

Solid waste: pick up daily like any yard. Urine: rinse the turf weekly in summer, monthly the rest of the year. Quarterly: spray with an enzymatic turf cleaner (we recommend a brand at install).
