Patio Turf

Patio turf in San Diego. Soft underfoot. Anywhere you have hard.

Concrete patios, pool decks, and rental balconies get the same treatment as a yard install — minus the base. We glue patio turf directly to the existing surface with weather-rated adhesive, cut drainage channels for water flow, and trim tight to existing edges. Looks finished the same day.

What do homeowners ask about Patio Turf?

Will turf damage my concrete or pavers?

Properly applied adhesive does not damage concrete. On pavers, we use a perimeter-only adhesive pattern so the turf can be lifted later without disturbing pavers. Removal leaves the surface in the same condition we found it.

How does drainage work over concrete?

Most patios have a 1–2% slope away from the house. We follow that slope with the turf and punch drainage holes in the backing where puddling could occur. Water passes through the turf and runs off the patio normally.

Can I install patio turf myself?

You can — but the failure modes are predictable: wrong adhesive, missed drainage holes, lifting edges. We charge $9–$14 per sq ft installed; DIY material runs $5–$8 per sq ft. The cost difference is mostly labor and warranty.

Homeowners who hired us for this

Got quotes from three turf companies. Green Pro Turf was the only one who measured drainage on our slope and explained why the base spec mattered. Two summers in, no seam pull, no settling. Looks the same as install day.

Melissa R. Backyard Turf · Carlsbad

Two big dogs killed our lawn over and over. Switched to pet turf — drainage is real, the zeolite infill keeps the smell down, and we just hose it off weekly. Should have done this five years ago.

David K. Pet Turf · El Cajon

They built a 350 sq ft green with two cups and a fringe ring. Speed is right around stimp 10. My short game has actually improved. Crew was on time every day, cleanup was perfect.
