The SoCal Water$mart turf replacement program continues funding rebates for San Diego County homeowners converting live turf to artificial turf or drought-tolerant landscaping in 2026. Base rebate remains $3 per square foot with select water districts adding a $1 top-up.
Applications must be submitted before removing existing turf — installations completed before pre-approval are not eligible. Pre-approval typically takes 2–4 weeks.
